Vacation Travel & Flight Guide

So you've booked your airline tickets and are rushing to meet the departure times at the airport. You are ready to travel but do you have everything in order? Perhaps you have that nagging feeling that you're forgetting something.

Have no fear! Follow these travel tips as part of your travel guide.

10 Quick Vacation Travel Tips

1. Ensure you have travel insurance when you book your flight tickets. You don't want to get stuck in a rut if you come down with a bug with no travel insurance.

2. Keep in mind that the TSA guidelines state that all liquids, gels and aerosols must be in 3.4oz (100ml) containers or less.

3. Be prepared to surrender any water bottles or liquid containing containers in your carry on.

4. Arrive 3 hours before your scheduled departure if you are flying internationally and are checking in luggage.

5. Arrive 2 hours before your departure time if you are flying across the country.

6. If you are going somewhere tropical remember to pack your sunscreen in your check-in luggage, not carry on or it will be confiscated.

7. No shaving razors or anything that can potentially be construed as a weapon may be taken on your carry on. These items will be confiscated.

8. If you need to go to the washroom go before you board the plane. Moving about the cabin is not permitted during take off.

9. Give a family or neighbour your house keys and security code for your security system. If something happens they will need to get into your house. It doesn't hurt if they water the plants while they are there, does it!

10. If you have a security system call them and tell them who they can contact in your absense.

The biggest tip is to not forget your tickets! So, have fun, enjoy your vacation, until next time!
