Statutory Holidays in Nova Scotia (NS)


In Nova Scotia Natal Day is celebrated on the first Monday of August, except in Halifax where it varies from year to year, usually in August or July. Victoria Day, Thanksgiving Day and Boxing Day are not statutory holidays.

Remembrance Day is mandated differently than other public holidays in Nova Scotia. With some exceptions, it is illegal to to offer tangible goods for sale on Remembrance Day.
